 Temperature inconsistencies occurring during startup, physical trauma to hot parts and process inconsistencies can result in part deformation. Worn molds can result in flash. These defects are especially critical at the bottle neck, where a cap will need to be screwed. Short-shots are normally not a problem, since the neck is the thickest area molded. |

Validator with two cameras is ideal for this application. Flash can be detected with a side camera; deformation can be detected with the top camera. Verifiability is enhanced with the built-in PC capabilities. |
